Gracie, the werewolf cat who made her owners confused!

As pets, cats are addictively beautiful and easier to care for than a dog. So, the majority of the people around the world would like to adopt a cat. There are many types and breeds. Their appearance can vary from the fluffiest of furballs, short-hair ones to bald cats. Have you ever heard about the werewolf cat?

This kitten’s video first appeared on social media and instantly got huge attention and millions of views. Gracie is a kitten born with a rare natural mutation. As a result, she had some bald spots and a peculiar fur pattern. Cats born with this mutation are known as Lykoi or Wolfcats.

Gracie’s owner, Bree, was a lot worried about her odd appearance, bald spots, and losing hair. So she took Gracie to see the vet. It came out that Gracie had a fever coat, but she is perfectly healthy.

As time went by, the little one started to grow hair, and that made Bree so comfortable. But it became stranger with hair and stood out from Gracie’s parents and siblings. That’s when Bree started some research to find out what’s wrong with Gracie. It was amazing that there was nothing wrong. It’s a natural genetic mutation, and the cats with this condition were called Lykoi or Wolf cats.

Lykoi cats result from a natural genetic mutation among feral cat colonies. They have only one coat of fur and will molt about every six months. Like a wolf’s coat, this fur can brush forward and backward. But these cats need extra attention due to their sensitive skin. So Bree always monitors the kitten’s grease and oil build up around her face and feet.

It is great how this little werewolf kitten got all this care and belongs to the loving home she deserves.
