Cynthia Bennett enjoys hiking a lot, and in 2014, her partner adopted a dog named Henry. Bennett had been interested in getting a golden retriever mix, but after meeting Henry, she put all other plans on hold. Even though he was only 14 weeks old, he appeared much larger than other puppies his age. He snuggled up into her lap as soon as she entered his pen. She made the decision to adopt him at that point.
Bennett told The Dodo, "I guess we barely had him for three days when we took him on our first hike. He ran to the top of the highest, steepest rock nearby to have a better view over the edge. They began referring to him as their "little mountain goat" for this reason.
The couple decided to acquire another pet only a few months ago. Bennett in particular yearned for a rescue cat, and after looking in numerous shelters for a long five months, they found "Baloo," a Siamese kitten mix.
Henry and the cat fell in love the moment they were introduced to one another. Henry began to play because he liked the kitten.
Baloo soon started going on their first family vacation. "How we got him used to it is a question I get asked a lot. But he really loves it. He really wants to go outside, Bennett said. If I touch Henry's leash, Baloo will start crying at the door."
